Ode to the blade hoe.
Advance! My metal plated warrior,
Savior of my delicate mien.
Fell those which vex me!
Victims to your gaping whetted maw.
Suffer ye not my noxious villainous foe!
Parasites all, suckling the life force
From that which nourishes me.
Rest easy now my knight,
temporary conquerer of unscrupulous intruders,
until 'tis time to joust again.
Savior of my delicate mien.
Fell those which vex me!
Victims to your gaping whetted maw.
Suffer ye not my noxious villainous foe!
Parasites all, suckling the life force
From that which nourishes me.
Rest easy now my knight,
temporary conquerer of unscrupulous intruders,
until 'tis time to joust again.

To start the journey...
Little Pieces of Me
Every day they chip away tiny pieces of me.
A little here, some off over there.
Society at large.
Mothers, children, strangers.
Those casual acquaintances
who judge your very being.
Incompetent justices passing verdict on my life.
Chip, chip, chip goes their internal pronouncements.
Their arrogant stares. Virtuous countenances.
I am unmolded by them.
Even the ravage of time is no match for them.
They seek to destroy from within
weakening the foundation that is me.
Leave me now, you cruel vultures
picking at my bleached bones!
For I wish to gather my pieces
and retreat to the harbor of my mind.
Where I will stay.
There I will hoard the shards of my sanity.
Safe from the monster
you have become.
